LaVern Harold (Bud) Topp
and
Dorothy (Weber) Topp
Bud and Dorothy Topp
were my parents.  They
raised seven of us
"Topp" kids.  More than
just husband, wife and
parents, they were true
friends.  True friends,
to each other and to
their children.

Bud passed away on December 16th, 1992
Dorothy followed on September 26th, 1993

He is Just Away

You cannot say, you must not say
That he is dead.  He is just away!
With a cherry smile
And a wave of the hand
He has wandered into an unknown land
And left us dreaming how very fair
It needs must be, since he lingers there;
So think of him faring on, as dear
In the love of There
As the love of Here,
Think of him still as the same, and say
He is not dead, he is just away.

Author James Whitcomb Riley
Here is a poem that we found on a sympathy card
when a friend passed away.
I have always found if comforting.
From left to right: Julius Topp, (Bud's father) Julius' father and
mother, one of Julius' brother and a friend.
