Our animal friends may be gone to the Summer Land but they will never be forgotten.

They are sadly missed by their mistress, and my friend, Karen.

Do not search for him in fields of clay.
The Spirit hasn't changed, now that it's free of
mortal coil and Temblor Earthy bonds.
Look up and see his light among the stars.
And you don't feel his voice upon the breeze?
Nor taste his tears in gently falling rain?
That where he rests above the Universe?

Tess left me in early summer of 2004. She
taught me more about dog behavior than any
other dog I ever trained. She was the best little
ambassador for how well a dog could behave. I
miss her terribly. She left me too soon.

This is a photo intense page and takes some time to load.
Lacey was my mother, Dorothy Topp's cat.
After mom passed Lacey stayed with a family
friend for awhile and then she came to live with
our daughter, Sara. Lacey stayed with Sara
until it was time to rejoin Dorothy. She had a
job to do here and when it was done she left us
to be with the human she so dearly loved.
Marilla was a little cat that I raised on a
bottle. I'm not sure she knew she was a cat!
She lived as my friend for 13 years. Cancer
took her in August 2005. I miss her
friendship.

When we take on the responsibility of an animal's care, we take it on for the life of the animal.
Whether the life is a long or a short..............
Morgan was a little kitten born on our
farm. She left us in 2007. Very sad day
for us. She was 18 years old.
Brandon has now joined his mother, Tess, in
the Summer Land. He was born here in
1995. He was born with crippled from legs
which sometimes happens in the "dwarf"
breeds of dogs. He was a very brave little
dog! He left me in the spring of 2008
leaving behind his sister, Ena.
Ashton was an extremely gentle,
intelligent leader. She was one of the
few dogs I ever met that was a true
"leader of the pack." Here she is with
Tess's puppies.
Ashton was a Labrador Retriever. She left when her job was done.
She dragged me off the couch and taught me to enjoy life, to laugh and to cry. She gave me the courage to be what I am.
My student, companion, teacher and friend. Always there, never questioning, forever understanding.
To say she was a great dog, wouldn't be doing her justice. She may be physically gone but her spirit will live on in my beliefs and who I am. She will forever be the symbol of the driving force in my life.
I salute her, and thank her for the short time she shared with me. Regardless of what the truth is, I have to believe I will see her again.
A Pagan blessing comes to mind: Merry Meet, Merry Part and Merry Meet Again. Farewell, my beloved friend, until we meet again.

We are allowed only one great dog in our lifetime. Ashton was mine...............

Special animal friends are always remembered. The heart aches for the loss of their warmth and friendship, but the mind remembers the happy times and we smile through the tears.

Merlin left us in the fall of 2009. He
loved & lived with my daughter and her
husband. He was 16 yrs. old. He
came into their lives as a rescue dog.
He is sadly missed by all.
Brandon --
Little Raven
Ena left me in late summer of 2009 at
the age of 14. She was a gorgeous
sweet little Corgi. Now Tess,
Brandon and Ena are together in the
Summer land.
Here at Sithean we also had feline friends we'd like to remember.

My equine friends that have gone before:
|
Mi Kodiak Bear: Born May 1969. My gorgeous
Appaloosa boy. He was with me for 31 years.
An injury to his hock joint almost ended his
life when he was 4. I refused to give up and
he was with me for 31 happy years. Best
horse ever with the kids even though they
needed a ladder almost to get on him. He was
my great friend for a long time.
Kodi and Pancho one winter. Pancho was
the kids 1/2 Arab pony. Taught the kids
respect. We lost Pancho at 21, from
complications from having heaves. We
bought him that way. Seems he was
meant to come live with us.
My pretty boy as a 4 month old colt.
|
Pancho Villas the Mexican Bandit and my daughter, Sara. Her little buddy. He was a spit fire, but sure taught my daughters respect. He was with us for 21 years.
|
Joey came to live with us during a
blizzard in 2008. He was with us
only a short time and left us in the
spring of 2011. He was a sweet
dear little horse.
